Giving you a helping hand

Zest is a partnership of care and support providers, working together to offer mental health support through people with lived experience across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

What is peer support?

People with similar experiences provide support with emotional, practical and social help. Through their lived experience and mutual understanding, our peer support workers can help you get the right support at the right time.

How can I get one-to-one peer support?

We work with people who are already accessing mental health services. However, if you think you could benefit from our support, speak to your local community mental health team who can refer you.

Who does peer support benefit?

Some people with mental health issues can find it difficult to engage with services. We work closely with services and can help bridge the gap.

We get that mental health is varied depending on individuals – that’s why we support people with wide ranging circumstances.

We often work with people with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Addiction
  • Severe mental illness (bipolar, schizophrenia)

Working together to support you

Everyone’s different, we know that. That’s why we work as a partnership.

Zest have connections and access to different services in your area ensuring we get you the best care possible. Working across Lancashire and South Cumbria, we will support you to get the right services for your needs.
